Who We Are

This policy covers Maverick Grooming Studio & Lavish Hair & Beauty — Maverick Grooming Studio and Lavish Hair & Beauty are two independently run brands sharing one studio address at 130 Allitsen Road, St John's Wood, London NW8 7AU. For the purposes of UK data protection law, we act as the data controller for information collected through this website.

Information We Collect

We only collect information you actively give us. That currently means:

• Enquiry form details — name, email address, phone number (optional), which studio you're asking about, and your message, submitted through the Contact page.
• Correspondence — anything you send us directly by phone, email or WhatsApp when booking or asking a question.

We do not currently use analytics, advertising or marketing cookies on this site. If that changes — for example if we add analytics to understand site usage — this policy and our cookie banner will be updated first.

Cookies

The website sets one strictly necessary session cookie when you use the enquiry form. It stores a security token used to confirm the form submission genuinely came from this site (CSRF protection) and contains no personal information. It's deleted automatically when your browser session ends and cannot be disabled without disabling the form itself.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to enquiries and confirm, change or cancel appointments;
• Contact you about a booking you've made with either studio;
• Keep records we're legally required to keep, such as for accounting purposes.

Our legal basis for this is our legitimate interest in running the studios and responding to enquiries, and in some cases the steps needed to enter into or perform a contract with you (i.e. providing a booked service).

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share it with service providers who help us run the business — for example an email provider used to receive enquiry-form messages, or, if we adopt one in future, a third-party online booking platform. Any such provider is only given the information it needs to perform its function.

How Long We Keep Your Information

We keep enquiry and booking information only for as long as necessary to respond to you, provide the service you've booked, and meet any legal or accounting obligations, after which it is securely deleted.

Your Rights

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
• Ask us to correct information that's inaccurate or incomplete;
• Ask us to delete your information, or restrict how we use it;
• Object to us processing your information;
• Ask for your information to be provided to you or another organisation in a portable format.

Children's Information

Our services include haircuts for under-16s, but the enquiry form itself is intended for use by adults booking on a young person's behalf. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children through this website.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect the information you give us, including CSRF protection on our enquiry form and access controls on where submissions are received. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example if we introduce analytics or a new booking platform. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version.
