Strip Wax vs Hot Wax
Strip wax is applied thinly and removed with a cloth strip — quick and effective for larger areas like legs, arms and back, where speed and coverage matter more than treating every last hair with maximum gentleness. Hot wax is applied thicker, hardens, and is peeled off without a strip — gentler on more sensitive areas like underarms and bikini, which is why it's offered as an option specifically there rather than across the whole menu.
Bikini services range from a simple line tidy to a full Brazilian or Hollywood, and the difference between them is entirely about how much is removed. Bikini Line clears hair just outside where underwear sits. Bikini Extended takes a little more from the sides. Brazilian leaves a small strip or triangle at the front. Hollywood removes everything. Your therapist will talk you through exactly what each covers before starting, so there's no ambiguity once you're on the treatment table.
Waxing works by removing hair from the root rather than cutting it at the surface, which is why regrowth is typically slower and finer than shaving produces. Over repeated sessions, some clients notice hair growing back more sparsely in regularly waxed areas, though this varies from person to person and isn't something that can be promised as a guaranteed outcome.
First-time bikini or Brazilian clients are more common than you'd think, and there's no judgement either way about how much or how little you choose to have removed. A good consultation beforehand — talking through exactly what's involved, roughly how long it takes, and what to expect afterwards — makes the actual treatment far less daunting than anticipating it.
Who It's For
Anyone wanting longer-lasting hair removal than shaving, from a single area to a full-body treatment. First-time bikini or Brazilian clients are genuinely welcome — your therapist will explain each stage before starting, and there's no pressure to remove more than you're comfortable with. It also suits anyone who shaves regularly and deals with razor rash, ingrown hairs or fast regrowth, since waxing tends to cause fewer of those issues over time, particularly on legs and underarms.
What to Expect
Consultation
Confirming the area, wax type and what to expect, especially for first-time bikini or Brazilian appointments where a clear explanation matters most.
Skin Prep
Area cleansed and checked before wax is applied, flagging anything that might affect the treatment.
Waxing
Strip or hot wax applied and removed section by section, working efficiently without rushing sensitive areas.
Finish
A soothing lotion applied to calm the skin afterwards and reduce any redness.

Hot wax available for sensitive areas where it's more comfortable than strip wax.
Any Area, One Visit
Combine several areas in the same appointment if you want, from legs and arms through to bikini.
First-Timer Friendly

Preparation & Aftercare
Before Your Appointment
- Hair needs to be at least a few millimetres long for wax to grip properly — very freshly shaved skin won't wax well
- Avoid sun exposure or sunbeds on the area for 24 hours beforehand
- Gently exfoliate the area the day before, not on the day itself, to help prevent ingrown hairs
- Avoid moisturiser or oils on the area on the morning of your appointment, as they can affect how well wax grips
Aftercare
- Avoid hot baths, saunas and vigorous exercise for 24 hours afterwards, since freshly waxed skin is more prone to irritation from heat and sweat
- Wear loose clothing over waxed areas for the rest of the day to avoid friction
- Avoid sun exposure on treated skin for 24–48 hours
- Gently exfoliate a few days after your appointment, once skin has settled, to help prevent ingrown hairs before your next visit

Body Waxing — Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between Bikini Line, Bikini Extended, Brazilian and Hollywood?
Bikini Line removes hair just outside underwear lines; Bikini Extended takes a little more; Brazilian leaves a small strip or triangle; Hollywood removes everything. Your therapist will confirm exactly what you want before starting.
Is hot wax available for every area?
Hot wax is offered for underarms, bikini line, bikini extended, Brazilian and Hollywood, where it's gentler on sensitive skin. Larger areas use strip wax.
How far in advance should hair grow before waxing?
Around two to three weeks of growth, or a few millimetres in length, gives the best result.
Does waxing hurt?
It causes a brief discomfort as hair is removed, more noticeable on sensitive areas like bikini than on legs or arms — most clients find it far more manageable than anticipated, especially after the first section or two.
How much does a Brazilian wax cost?
Brazilian is £29 with strip wax or £35 with hot wax. See the price table below for the full breakdown across every area.
How often should I book body waxing?
Most areas are rebooked every 3–4 weeks as regrowth reaches a workable length again, though this varies by area and individual hair growth rate.
